About the Event

“Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does” William James(American Philosopher)

With this belief, SUNFEAST INDIA RUN AS ONE, was launched last year as a citizen-led digital participatory movement to support the vulnerable sections of society who have lost their livelihoods due to the COVID -19 pandemic. Envisioned by Procam International, powered by GiveIndia, championed by ITC Sunfeast and strengthened by Fit India; the movement has showcased the power of the collective. In a milestone achievement, citizens globally from all walks of life raised over USD 210,589 towards charity and clocked 4 lakh km in support of livelihoods.

This year as India celebrates its 75th year of Independence, the annual 30-day movement will continue to inspire Indians and Indophiles globally, to adopt an active lifestyle while creating a positive social impact.

With the earnest intention of being inclusive, allowing for flexibility in activities to encourage participation and forge a strong link to community, the movement is now SUNFEAST INDIA MOVE AS ONE.

With unstinted support from stakeholder’s world over, the second edition will kick-start on 15th August 2021.

The initiative will gather steam with the support from the Art of Living foundation, bringing together people from different parts of the world. To move as one. To make a difference.

Sunfeast India Move As One encourages citizens to run, walk, jog, cycle, use wheelchair, treadmill or stationary bike to pledge a distance and commit a positive action for themselves, while also contributing to a cause. The cause this year is - the future of children impacted by the pandemic.

Over the last year, the Covid 19 pandemic has impacted our most vulnerable community, children and the real effect of the pandemic on them extends well beyond statistics.

  • Over 250 million children across India have been out of school
  • 9.27 lakh children across India are acutely malnourished
  • The risk of child abuse, child labour and child marriage has increased
  • 26,176 children have lost a parent, 3,621 have been orphaned and 274 have been abandoned till date

The initiative is designed to benefit society via social impact, community and immunity. With no geographical or physical barriers, people from any part of the world can show solidarity by participating in an activity of their choice, indoors or outdoors and pledge to give children impacted by the pandemic a future.
